Explore life on the creative edge - Way DownEast.  The Eastport & Lubec Artwalks celebrate our region’s rich cultural heritage with all-ages, all-inclusive interactive art activities, gallery receptions, live music, film, dance, storytelling, puppetry, parades and more.   We partner with local arts and community organizations to present a series of events that are mostly outdoors and free, to welcome and encourage participation by community members and visitors alike. 
June 22-25 - Pride weekend
Celebrate creativity, inclusivity and Pride in partnership with the Downeast Rainbow Alliance. Contradancing under the stars in Eastport on Friday evening (no partner nor experience needed), Portland's Curbside Queens will present drag shows in Eastport & Lubec, Eastport/Italian artist Vittoria Chierici unveils "Velas", an installation of full-sized painted sails located around downtown Eastport, Sunday Pride in the Park with LAMPS in Lubec, and more!

August 3-6 - Mermaid Festival
The ArtWalks celebrate the sea with the 2nd Annual Mermaid Parade on Saturday August 5th.  Local artists will help you create your mermaid attire, the "Tales of Quoddy Bay" puppet theater and the StageEast Canned Sardine Story Slam return.  Featured installation artist Chuck Kniffen from Lubec will present a beach-trash and sea-junk puppet making workshop in Eastport.  On Sunday, join LAMPS for an Ed Sullivan-style variety show overlooking the bay at Stockford Park in Lubec. Even mermaid mustard for National Mustard Day!

October 21 - Witches of Eastport
The ArtWalks announce the return of Witches of Eastport with all-ages interactive experiences. Pumpkin carving, wizard hat and wand making, witch and warlock costume parade, Quidditch broom decorating, Harry Potter Sorting Hat team challenge for kids, pumpkin derby race, and more!

February - Hearts for the Arts
The 3rd annual, online auction was a rousing success.  The auction featured 128 works of heart-themed art by 57 community artists  benefitting both the artists and the ArtWalk events. Thanks to all participants!
